Peggy McCarthy is a lifelong resident of Tukwila, and her family has been in the community for four generations. She is a graduate of Foster High School, as are her children and parents. She served as Tukwila's Finance Director for seven years and Deputy Finance Director for three years. Additionally, she gained experience with housing issues during her time at the King County Housing Authority.
