Phil Scott is the incumbent Republican Governor of Vermont, first elected in 2016 after serving three terms as lieutenant governor (2011–2017) and five terms in the Vermont State Senate (2001–2010). Born in Barre, Vermont, in 1958, he co-owned the DuBois Construction excavation business and founded the Wheels for Warmth tire-donation program benefiting heating-fuel assistance. He lives in Berlin with his wife, Diana McTeague Scott, and has two grown daughters.
