Priya Sundareshan

Priya Sundareshan is an incumbent State Senator representing Arizona's Legislative District 18, which includes Tucson and Catalina Foothills. An energy and environmental lawyer, she assumed office in January 2023 and is seeking re-election in the 2026 Democratic primary. Sundareshan has served as the Ranking Member on the Senate Natural Resources Committee and the Senate Elections Committee, and is slated to become Senate Minority Leader in January 2025. Her legislative priorities focus on preserving Arizona for future generations, ensuring access to healthcare options, protecting voting rights, and promoting clean energy initiatives for the state's future. She previously directed the Natural Resources Use & Management Clinic at the University of Arizona.
