Raaheela Ahmed

Raaheela Ahmed is a Democratic candidate for the Maryland State Senate, representing Legislative District 23. A lifelong resident of Prince George's County and a product of its public schools, she has deep roots in the community. From 2016 until early 2022, Ahmed served as an elected member of the Prince George's County Board of Education for District 5. She is an alumna of the University of Maryland, College Park, where she earned bachelor's degrees in both Finance and Economics. Her professional experience outside of elected office includes roles at national nonprofit organizations focused on advancing civic engagement and strengthening democracy. Ahmed first ran for public office at the age of 18, demonstrating an early commitment to public service.
