Ray Helms was appointed to the Pacific City Council in January 2024 and is running for reelection. He has over two decades of experience as a small business owner and more than 25 years in public service. His previous public service includes being elected to the North Highline Unincorporated Area Council and an appointment to the Burien Planning Commission. He was instrumental in creating Burien CARES, a non-profit animal shelter, and helped establish Burien's 4th of July Parade. He is an active member of Pacific Partnerships, a nonprofit focused on community events.
