Regina Parker

Regina Parker is a judge for the 2nd Superior Court District in North Carolina. She was appointed to the District Court bench in 2001 by Governor James B. Hunt, becoming the first female and African American judge in the district. She served as Chief District Court Judge for the 2nd Judicial District from 2018 until her appointment to the Superior Court. Parker earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from East Carolina University in 1989 and a Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law. Her legal career includes working as a law clerk for the North Carolina Court of Appeals, as a trial attorney, and in private practice focusing on juvenile and real estate law.
