Renee Price was born in Rochester, New York. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in urban studies from Tufts University and a Master of Regional Planning from Cornell University. Her career has focused on urban and rural planning, housing, and environmental justice. Price served as an Orange County Commissioner from 2012 until 2022, including a period as Chair of the Board. She was first elected to the North Carolina House of Representatives for District 50 and assumed office on January 1, 2023. She is also the co-founder of Free Spirit Freedom, a cultural arts initiative.
