Richard M. Goul is an incumbent judge for the Superior Court of Los Angeles County in California, a position he has held since being appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2006. His current term is set to end on January 4, 2027. Prior to his judicial appointment, Goul served as a deputy district attorney for Los Angeles County starting in 1989, where he was the deputy-in-charge of the sexual assault unit in the Long Beach branch. He also worked as a law clerk for the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office and was a board member for the Cerritos College Board of Trustees from 1979 to 1985. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Southern California and his J.D. from Loyola Law School.
