Richard Hricik

Richard Hricik is the Democratic candidate for Attorney General of South Carolina in the 2026 election, having advanced unchallenged from the canceled primary. His professional background includes serving as an attorney and owner of the Law Offices of Richard A. Hricik, PA, and as a faculty member at Charleston Southern University. Earlier, Hricik gained experience as a tax accountant for Arthur Andersen, a legislative intern for the U.S. House of Representatives Banking Committee, and a law clerk for the U.S. Attorney's Office. He holds a JD from William & Mary Law School and a Bachelor's in Accounting from Cleveland State University. He previously ran for South Carolina State Senate.
