Ricardo "Rick" Polintan was appointed to the Valley Medical Center (Public Hospital District No. 1) Commission by the King County Council in April 2024 to fill a vacant seat. He is the current Board President of Asian and Pacific Islander Americans for Civic Empowerment (APACE) Washington State. He has previously served as the Chair of the 11th District Democrats and was an organizer for SEIU 1199NW.
