Born in West Palm Beach, Florida, Roth earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Emory University. He is a third-generation farmer and the principal owner of Roth Farms. Throughout his career, Roth has served on the boards of the Florida Fruit & Vegetable Association and the Western Palm Beach County Farm Bureau.
