Rick Ryan has served on the Mountlake Terrace City Council since being appointed in February 2008. He and his wife have lived in the city for over twenty-eight years and have two sons. Ryan has been an educator for over 34 years, currently working as an elementary school teacher in the Mukilteo School District. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Seattle Pacific University and a Master's Degree in Administration and Curriculum from Gonzaga University. He also earned a Certificate of Ornamental Horticulture from Edmonds Community College and an Advanced Certificate of Municipal Leadership from the Association of Washington Cities.
