Ridgely Ochs is a dedicated community advocate running for the Democratic Central Committee in Talbot County, Maryland. Before moving to the Eastern Shore in 2016, she spent nearly four decades as a renowned health and politics journalist in New York. Ochs was a Pulitzer Prize finalist for her breast cancer reporting and won an Emmy for her coverage of the 9/11 health impacts. Since relocating, she has become a passionate grassroots leader. She is an integral member of Talbot Rising and a founding member of the Move the Monument Coalition, which successfully advocated to remove a Confederate statue in Easton. Ochs holds degrees from Wellesley College and Stanford University.
