Rohit "Ro" Khanna is an American politician and attorney serving as the U.S. Representative for California's 17th congressional district since 2017. A member of the Democratic Party, Khanna previously served as Deputy Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of Commerce under the Obama administration from 2009 to 2011. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Chicago and a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School. He champions progressive policies and technology innovation.
