Rob Consalvo graduated from Xavier University with a degree in political science and began his public service career nearly 30 years ago as an aide to U.S. Senator Edward M. Kennedy, later working as a legislative aide to State Representative Angelo M. Scaccia. He was elected to the Boston City Council in 2002 and served 12 years representing District 5 (Hyde Park, Readville, Roslindale, and Mattapan), chairing the Public Safety, Housing, and Ways and Means committees. He later served as Deputy Director of the Boston Home Center and as Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to the Superintendent of Boston Public Schools. He has represented the 14th Suffolk District in the Massachusetts House of Representatives since 2021 and lives in Hyde Park with his wife Michelle and their three children.
