Robert Gillis is a nine-year U.S. Air Force veteran and has been a resident of Hoquiam for over 16 years. He previously worked as a social worker at the Aberdeen Community Services Office, where he assisted citizens with urgent financial and medical needs and coordinated with various state, local, and community agencies. In September 2024, Gillis was appointed to the Hoquiam City Council to fill a vacancy in Ward 4.
