Robert Hower is a research engineer at the University of Michigan and the owner of Numed Technologies, a small business. He also teaches graduate-level electrical engineering classes at Wayne State University, where he is a faculty union member. Hower earned his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in 2005. He is running as a Democratic candidate for the Michigan State Senate to represent District 22 in the 2026 election. He currently resides in Brighton, Michigan.
