Robert J Sutherland

Robert J. Sutherland, a former Republican State Representative for Washington's 39th district, was born and raised in Burbank, California. After high school, he served in the U.S. Air Force before earning a biochemistry degree from Gonzaga University. His professional career focused on researching DNA and developing cancer therapies in the Puget Sound area. Sutherland previously served in the Washington House of Representatives from 2019 to 2023. He is campaigning on a platform that includes supporting law enforcement, adequately funding local police, and eliminating state-level property taxes, while emphasizing his conservative values and legislative experience.
