Robert Julian Ivey is a Democratic member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing Legislative District 47A in Prince George's County since his election in 2018. Born on August 3, 1995, he is the son of U.S. Congressman Glenn Ivey and former Prince George's County Council member Jolene Ivey. Ivey earned a degree in political science from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 2018. His public service career began in 2017 when he was elected to the Cheverly Town Council. Within the House of Delegates, he has served as Deputy Majority Whip and is a member of the Appropriations Committee, contributing to the state's fiscal and budgetary processes.
