Robert Stokes, Sr.

Robert Stokes Sr. is a Democratic candidate for the Maryland House of Delegates, representing Legislative District 45. A lifelong resident of Baltimore, Stokes previously served on the Baltimore City Council for District 12 from December 2016 to December 2024. During his council tenure, he demonstrated leadership by chairing the Education, Workforce and Youth Committee as well as the Executive Appointments Committee. His career in public service also includes positions as a legislative aide, a community representative in the Baltimore City Mayor's Office, and an assistant to the City Council President. Stokes is an alumnus of Paul Laurence Dunbar High School and also attended Morgan State University.
