Robert T. Wu

Robert T. Wu is a Democratic candidate running for the Maryland House of Delegates in Legislative District 39. He has served on the Gaithersburg City Council for over eight years, having been first elected in 2015 and subsequently re-elected by voters in 2019 and 2023. During his tenure as a city council member, Wu has concentrated on several key policy areas, including environmental sustainability, improving pedestrian safety, fostering local economic development, and supporting innovative education initiatives to benefit the community. His involvement in local civic matters began through his homeowners association prior to his election to public office. Wu is a resident of Gaithersburg, where he lives with his wife, Jamie, and their two children, Julian and Teresa.
