Robert T. Reives II has served in the North Carolina House of Representatives since January 2014 and was elected House Democratic Leader in 2020. Born in Sanford, North Carolina, he graduated from Lee County High School. He earned a B.S. in Business Administration/Finance and a J.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His professional experience includes working as a prosecutor for the Lee County District Attorney's Office and as an attorney at his firm, Wilson & Reives. Reives is married with two children and resides in Goldston.
