Rocco DeVito is a former Burien Planning Commissioner and a current shop steward for the PROTEC17 government workers' union. He works for King County Metro, helping employers and workers with the transit system. Raised in a working-class family, his father was a veteran and his mother a union steward. After college, he served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in West Africa for three years and later as an AmeriCorps volunteer in the Puget Sound region. He bought a home in Burien in 2018.
