Rodney D. Pierce is an educator and historian from Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. He earned an associate degree from Halifax Community College and a bachelor's degree from North Carolina Wesleyan College. His career has been focused on education, working as a social studies teacher in middle school. Pierce has received several accolades for his work, including being named the North Carolina Council for the Social Studies Teacher of the Year in 2019. He has also served on the North Carolina Governor's Teacher Advisory Committee. He assumed office as the representative for District 27 on January 1, 2025, after winning the election on November 5, 2024.
