Ron Hurn was appointed to the Quillayute Valley School Board in November 2015 to fill the Position 4 seat. At the time of his appointment, he was a log buyer for Port Angeles Hardwood and had previously served as a volunteer and football coach for the school district. He currently serves as the Vice Chair on the school board. He has been an active member in board meetings, making and seconding motions on various district matters, including personnel, budgets, and school programs.
