Rory Taylor

Rory Taylor is a lifelong Iowan and candidate for Iowa House District 22 in 2026. Born in Winterset, he was raised in Bevington and attended Martensdale-St. Mary's schools, DMACC, and Iowa State University, earning a BA in History. He served in the US Army and has worked as a public school teacher. A dedicated community member, he's volunteered with his church, served as a Boy Scouts leader, and is active with the Cumming American Legion Post 562, International Association of Machinists, and Iowa Genealogical Society. Living in Norwalk with his wife Denise and two children, he advocates for access to healthcare, smart economic growth, small farmers, agriculture, and public schools. Taylor believes in community service, accountability, and representing all Iowans.
