Ross Wilburn is an incumbent Democratic State Representative for Iowa House District 50, a position he has held since 2023. He previously represented District 46 from 2019 to 2023 and serves as Assistant Democratic Leader. Wilburn is a key member of several legislative committees, including Ethics (Ranking Member), Judiciary (Ranking Member), Appropriations, Health and Human Services, and Higher Education. He is seeking re-election in the 2026 Democratic primary. Prior to his legislative service, Wilburn was a city councilman and mayor of Iowa City, served in the U.S. Army National Guard, and held various roles in community development, education, and social work after earning a master's degree from the University of Iowa.
