Roy A. Dawson

Roy A. Dawson is an attorney with a law firm in Kinston, North Carolina, where his practice areas include family law, criminal defense, and personal injury. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Juris Doctor from the UNC School of Law in 2014. Before law school, he dropped out of high school to work, later earning his diploma at night and attending Alamance Community College. He transferred to UNC through the Carolina Student Transfer Excellence Program (C-STEP), a program for talented, low-income students. During law school, he volunteered with the Innocence Project.
