Rui Xu

Rui Xu is a Democratic incumbent representing Kansas' 25th District in the House of Representatives since 2019. Born in Switzerland, he grew up in Missouri, becoming the first Chinese American in the Kansas Legislature. Having served four terms, Xu advocates for progressive leadership. His platform focuses on fully funding public education, combating climate change, investing in renewable energy, and holding corporate interests accountable by refusing PAC contributions. He supports stricter gun safety laws, including expanded background checks, and champions statewide anti-discrimination protections, especially for the LGBTQ community. Xu is running again to continue his work for constituents and advance these priorities.
