Russell Best

Russell Best, originally from Texas, served in the Navy as a storekeeper before an honorable medical discharge. After graduating from Moorepark College, he gained experience working for companies like Gulf Oil, Taco Bell, and Meritor Mortgage. He now owns and operates an independent mortgage company in northern Nevada. Best is running for the U.S. House on a platform advocating for stricter immigration policies, including preventing undocumented immigrants from voting and utilizing state hospitals without being sent back. He supports ceasing taxation on seniors' social security, abolishing the Department of Education in favor of state-controlled school funding and vouchers, and reforming Nevada's mineral taxation to boost local refining, create jobs, and increase state revenue. He also seeks to eliminate taxes on tips.
