Ruth Dalton is the current mayor of Grand Coulee. She was appointed to the position by the city council in June 2024, following the resignation of the previous mayor. At the time of her appointment, she was serving as the mayor pro tempore on the city council. Upon her appointment, she noted she has lived in the community for 38 years and brings a "special community interest to the table." Prior to her time in city government, she was retired from the Coulee Dam Credit Union.
