Ryan Beckett was born and raised in Yakima, where he attended Yakima Public Schools, graduating from Eisenhower High School in 1995. He earned a Bachelor of Science from Central Washington University. Beckett has been a local Realtor for over 29 years. He currently serves as the President of the Yakima School Board and is the Chair of the City of Yakima's public facilities district. Previously, he was on the Board of Yakima Valley Tourism for nine years, served as president of the Southwest Rotary club, and was on the Yakima Schools Foundation board for eight years. His son is a student in the Yakima School District.
