Ryan Fecteau, born in Biddeford, Maine, in 1992, is an influential figure in Maine politics. A Democrat, he graduated from The Catholic University of America. He currently serves as Speaker of the Maine House of Representatives, a role he previously held from 2020 to 2022, when he was recognized as the youngest active state Speaker and the first openly gay person to hold the position in Maine. First elected to the House in 2014, he returned to represent District 132 in 2024 after being term-limited. He is seeking re-election in the 2026 Democratic primary and works professionally in development. He is married to Dylan.
