Ryan Walters

City Council Member, Ward 1 in Anacortes, Washington

Ryan Walters is a fifth-generation resident of Anacortes, an attorney, and a planner. He has served on the Anacortes City Council since 2012. His legal career began as a civil deputy prosecutor for Skagit County, where he advised on land use and natural resource issues. He later served as the assistant director of the Skagit County Planning Department and as Planning Director for the Samish Indian Nation. Currently, he is in private practice, assisting local governments with permit processes and municipal codes. Walters earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester and his law degree from UC Davis School of Law.
