Sam Méndez is a privacy attorney in state government and a community advocate. Raised by a single mother who was an immigrant and small business owner, he was inspired to go to law school to improve the lives of working people. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2009 and his J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law in 2014. He lives in Burien with his wife and young son.
