Samantha C. Mobley

Samantha Mobley is a judge for the North Carolina District Court in District 26, having been elected in November 2022 and assuming office on January 1, 2023. Prior to her election as a judge, she served for nine years as a Magistrate in Mecklenburg County, where she presided over various proceedings including small claims, involuntary commitments, and criminal matters. Her earlier career includes seven years at Bank of America and three years at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Mobley grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, in a home that provided foster care, which sparked her interest in law. She graduated cum laude from Ursuline College and attended law school at the Charlotte School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and the District of Columbia.
