Sandi Peterson has been a resident of Oak Harbor since 2007 and is a community leader. She has served as a Planning Commissioner and is the current Chair of the Civil Service Commission for the city. Her professional background includes experience as a Realtor, property manager, small business owner, and administrator. Peterson is also the co-founder of Civility First, a nonprofit organization that promotes respectful dialogue. She has previously been involved in politics as the former Chairman of the Island County Republican Party and is the current Vice President of the Republican Women of North Whidbey. She and her husband Brian, a retired U.S. Navy Senior Chief, have four children, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
