Sarah Moore has served on the Burien City Council since 2022 and was selected as Deputy Mayor in January 2025. She has been a resident of Burien's Boulevard Park neighborhood since 2002. Her professional background includes being the program coordinator for King County Master Gardeners and the former manager of living exhibits for Pacific Science Center. Moore is a founder of Burien's People for Climate Action group and a former member of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. She earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from Bates College.
