Sarah Moore has served on the Burien City Council since 2022 and was selected as Deputy Mayor in January 2025. She has been a resident of Burien's Boulevard Park neighborhood since 2002. Moore earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from Bates College and has a background in science and public service, including managing living exhibits at the Pacific Science Center and serving as the program coordinator for King County Master Gardeners. She is a founder of Burien's People for Climate Action group and a former member of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.
