Sarah Rumbaugh was elected to the Tacoma City Council in November 2021. She has a professional background in city planning and has worked as a fundraiser for various non-profit agencies. Rumbaugh holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Gonzaga University and a Master's degree in Environmental Studies from The Evergreen State College. She has served on numerous boards and commissions, including the City of Tacoma's Human Rights Commission, the Associated Ministries Board, and as Chair of the Crystal Judson Family Justice Center Board. She has lived in Northeast Tacoma with her husband since 2008.
