Satra D. Zurita is a candidate for Compton Unified School District Governing Board Member, Trustee Area G in Compton Unified School District Trustee Area G, California — 2026 Primary Election. Running as Nonpartisan.

Satra D. Zurita is a third-generation resident of Compton and a graduate of Compton High School. She has served on the Compton Unified School District (CUSD) Board of Trustees for nearly two decades, first assuming office in 2005. Throughout her tenure, she has held various leadership positions, including Board President, Vice President, and Clerk. In addition to her role on the school board, Zurita was elected as the Compton City Clerk in November 2024. Her community involvement includes volunteering for the Meals On Wheels Program and serving on the Board of Directors for the Compton Council of Campfire, Inc. She is also the Vice President of the California Association of Black School Educators (CABSE). Zurita has undertaken studies at the University of California at Irvine, Loyola Marymount University, and California State Universities at Long Beach and Dominguez Hills.
