Satwinder Kaur has served on the Kent City Council since 2018 and was elected Council President in 2024. A lifelong Kent resident and graduate of Kentridge High School, she holds an MBA from the University of Washington and works in the IT sector. Her public service began with an administrative role in the Mayor's Office. Kaur is active in numerous community organizations and has served on the Kent Cultural Communities Board and as a Green Kent Park Steward. She and her husband are raising their four children in Kent.
