Saul Ayon is the Mayor of McFarland, California, and a Republican candidate for the California State Assembly District 35. He spent over 25 years in the Kern County Sheriff's Department, serving as a Special Emergency Response Team Leader, academy instructor, and gang prevention expert. Following his retirement from law enforcement, Ayon became a Criminal Justice Instructor at McFarland High School. He was first elected to the McFarland City Council in 2020 and became mayor in 2022.
