Savannah Erickson studied French and journalism in college. She previously worked as a French teacher and a substitute teacher before working in communications for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for over a decade, where she responded to major disasters across the United States. Since moving to Langley, she has served on the boards for the Langley Chamber of Commerce, the South Whidbey Fire/EMS District, Langley Civil Service, and Mother Mentors. She has two sons with her husband, Miles.
