Scott Bedke, Idaho's current Lieutenant Governor since 2023, is a rancher and lifelong Idahoan. He previously served over two decades in the Idaho House of Representatives, including as Speaker. Born in Twin Falls, Bedke graduated from Oakley High School and Brigham Young University. A constitutional conservative, he has announced his 2026 re-election campaign, vowing to keep Idaho safe, strong, and prosperous. His platform emphasizes defending Idaho values, protecting freedoms and borders, limiting government interference, and delivering tax relief. He is known for an A+ NRA rating, a 100% pro-life voting record, and efforts against Critical Race Theory and in support of law enforcement, for which he was named "Legislator of the Year."
