A U.S. Navy veteran and native of Colorado, he serves as the Lead Pastor at Church at Briargate, with over 30 years in ministry. He holds multiple degrees in theology, including a Doctor of Ministry. Bottoms advocates for parental rights and public safety. He has served on the House Committees on Appropriations and State, Civic, Military and Veterans Affairs. He announced his candidacy for the 2026 Colorado gubernatorial election in January 2025.
