Scott Duer has been a resident of the Southeast Polk area his entire life, graduating from Southeast Polk High School in 1985 and the University of Northern Iowa in 1989 with a degree in finance. For over 28 years, he has worked in the Information Technology industry. Since 2008, he has been a sales engineer at Data Power Technology (DPT Group). Duer was elected to his first term on the Altoona City Council and is involved with the City of Altoona Park Board, the East Polk Innovation Collaborative Board, and the BRAVO Board. He has also served with various youth sports organizations.
