Scott Fitzpatrick is the current Missouri State Auditor, elected in November 2022 with a record number of votes and taking office in January 2023. A conservative champion, he previously served as a State Representative and State Treasurer. Fitzpatrick, a product of public education and son of a lifelong teacher, focuses on fighting waste, fraud, and abuse across state and local government. He advocates for expanding school district audits, addressing unsustainable state spending, and opposing taxpayer funding for illegal immigrants. Recently, he announced a preference to be known simply as "Fitz" to mitigate media mispronunciation of his full name.
