Scott Beck is a Republican member of the Vermont State Senate representing the Caledonia district and serves as the Senate Minority Leader. Born in and living in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, he is a U.S. Navy veteran (Naval Flight Officer) and earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Washington and M.Ed. degrees from The Citadel. His career includes teaching and coaching at St. Johnsbury Academy, owning an independent bookstore, and serving as executive director of the St. Johnsbury Chamber of Commerce. He previously served five terms in the Vermont House of Representatives.
