Scott Richard Soracco

Scott Soracco is a Democratic Party candidate running for the Georgia House of Representatives, District 29, in the 2026 election. A decorated 27-year Army veteran, his service included deployments to the first Gulf War, Bosnia, and Germany, as well as counterterrorism and drug interdiction operations. After retiring from the military around 2010, he worked as a FEMA operations chief, contributing to over 50 disaster responses nationwide. Soracco, who grew up coming to Lake Lanier and has longstanding ties to the Hall County area, is campaigning to continue serving his community. His platform emphasizes strengthening public schools, ensuring access to healthcare and veterans' services, promoting fiscal responsibility, investing in communities, supporting animal services, and advocating for environmental stewardship.
